Hello
My name is Mikaela, and I am the owner and designer! When I'm not designing or traveling with my husband, I enjoy going to the beach, house plants, live music, gardening, reading, and pretty much all things outdoors!
My Story
I was born and raised the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I married my wonderful husband in September of 2017 and began an exciting new chapter in my life.
My husband and I both love adventures and trying new things, so shortly after getting married, we began one of our first big adventures; building a tiny house! We completely designed and built it ourselves. It was such a challenging but rewarding project! This project taught me the importance of combining style and function into a space. This is when I discovered my true love of interior design, and I began studying at the New York Institute of Art and Design.

In 2021 my husband received a job offer and we seized the opportunity for our next big adventure cross country. We relocated to North Florida and immediately began a full remodel of our home, which is still ongoing, but are you ever really finished with a remodel?

I used the move as my opportunity to begin my own design business and Huntly Homes was created in 2021.

When we aren't working on the house or spending time with our puppies, we are busy exploring the beaches and areas around us.
